Preparation
- We remove plate covers, nails, etc.
- Patch drywall holes and nail/screw holes with spackle and sand it.
- Caulk baseboards, windows, and door frames.
- Lay out drop clothes, plastic, and tape where needed.
- Sand walls to remove any remaining high spots or texture, then prime them with a quality primer before painting.
Painting
Painting is a great way to add colour, style, and personality to your home. We use high-quality paint that can be applied with brushes or rollers, depending on the surface you want to be painted.
The steps for painting are:
- Cut in and roll ceilings first.
- Then baseboards and trim.
- Cut in and roll two coats on walls (sand between coats).
- We use Duration interior paint for walls. Very durable, high-end paint with a nice finish.
Cleaning Up
- If we're on the job for multiple days, we clean up after each day so the client feels free of their space being taken up.
- We make sure to leave everything in good condition before we leave.
Job Completion
Once the painting is complete, we do a walk-through with our customers. This is an important step in ensuring that you are satisfied with the job and that no issues need to be addressed. If any touchups are needed, they can also be done at this time.
